Fun times with paper

My son still loves watching Mister Rogers Neighborhood. So, yesterday after watching this show I hear him running back and forth and gathering things and such from his crafty bin. When I reorganized a bit in my crafty studio, I felt it important for him to have a little bin all his own full of bits of paper, fabric scraps, stickers etc. to do as he pleased with and had the freedom to cut and paste to his little hearts content. SO, when moments of inspiration hit him (as it did after watching Mister Rogers) he has what he needs to make away. I watched him for a moment with his papers and "instructions" he had laid out in front of him. I asked him what he was doing and he said making these! Pointing to this:

A trolley

this is supposed to be a television with people in a show on it

and this is a barn

Then he asked for a box. The only thing I had on hand willing to be cut was a shoe box, so that's what we made a TV out of.

Then he started cutting away at some paper. He said he was making things to go in the TV like a show. Almost like a mini puppet show, I guess.

Then it was dinner time, so we decided we would finish up the cutting and *building* another day.

That was fun.
