Love it! If I don't win I will be forced to figure it out for myself :)

Yay Sarah! Just email me your mailing address and this delightful tea towel will be headed your way! :)

Chosen by way of the Random Number Generator. Being that another fabulous blogger got TWO entries (#3 &4), that put the delightful Sarah in the number 7 spot, if that makes sense. Hope so!

Another fun giveaway will happen again in March....check back soon for details on that one!

Happy Weekend all!

It's About Time.....

GIVEAWAY TIME!

Finally, I emerge from illness and feeling just ick. I do hate being sick. No fun. At all.

No matter. I am much, much better and ready to get back to blogging and sewing and all things crafty! How 'bout you?

And with that said I will start with this:

I picked up some flour sack towels at my local dollar store. I had never really been, then my sister took me. Wow! There were some awesome deals in there. Some things were just, meh, but others like flour sack towels, ceramic dishes and such definitely worth the look. So, a few dishes and towels later, I came home.

Then, I got a bit of a creative bug and decided these plain flour sack towels needed some dressing up a bit. Grabbed some scraps, did a bit of ironing and sewing, added a little "hanger" to the back of the towel...

And V O I L A! Pretty Tea Towel.

You like? Hope so 'cause this pretty towel is what I want to GIVEAWAY!

You in?

Good. Just leave me a comment by this Friday and you will be entered into the giveaway! I will draw names the following day.

Would you like to boost your winning potential? Leave a comment here, then link back to this (simple little post on your blog), let me know you mentioned this giveaway on your blog too, and your name will go in twice! That simple.

K, comment away! And yes, this is open internationally. Happy commenting and Happy Monday!

Illness Abounds

I'm sick. I am miserable and sick. I have no idea with what, but a fever is present and I don't like it.

So, with that said. I am a little delayed with the giveaway plans....

Check back soon though. I am hoping by weeks end to have something going. If not, next week for sure. Unless this miserableness gets worse. That surely would be no fun.

Hope you all are having a much healthier, non-sick week!

I am off to have some chicken soup.

MegaBYTE Love

I think I shall call this the year of the robot. To date we have the robot backpack, robot finger puppets, now some robot finger puppets turned valentines, and when the boy turns 6 (eek! this year), he wants a "Robot Birthday". Help me now.

However, I am lovin' the robots. More than anything, I love being a mom. And as some (like my sister, how I do love her) may think this is a bit much to make these, I say it was ridiculously fun! Seriously. It was a blast. It was nice to work on a simple kid project with him. Sewing, especially by hand, is incredibly relaxing for me. But, I think what I really liked about this, was just like his backpack and the finger puppets, this was his little idea and I just helped with the sewing part of it. My hubby was very sweet and printed the cards off for me while I sat all cozy on the sofa sewing these together. They only took about fifteen minutes, really. Well, sewing them together did. The other bits (eyes and mouth) are ironed on. And that didn't take long either. So much fun!

So, to all I hope you have a Fabulous "megabyte" Valentines Day!

Next week....in honor of my 100th (that's it?) post, there will be a giveaway! I'm not sure what it will be yet, but it will be fun! I hope. Oh, and it will really be my 102 post, but let's pretend it's the 100th, k? K.

Happy Weekend!!!

Stash and Dash Teddy

Received note home from school (this morning) mentioning a picnic and a teddy bear and bringing it to school as a surprise before the 12th. Wait, that's tomorrow! Eek. Oh, and child cannot know about it. M'kay....Apparently the note was not gotten sooner because the Monkey Boy had been home sick the day it was originally supposed to come home. Dandy.

So off to my stash I went and grabbed some brown fleece.(because, for some reason, there are no teddy bears around here small enough to sneak to a teacher) Grabbed a pattern I made up for something or other a while back. A few pins, scissors and some sewing machine work later, with a little stuffing mixed in....

And V O I L A! A Mama-made teddy bear.

Then, I dashed off to pick up my boy (with teddy concealed in a paper bag) and amazingly enough was able to pass it to his teacher without my boy seeing it. Otherwise, he would have asked a million questions and the gig would've been up. Whew.

Whatta...mess?

I found this cleaning cloth that is apparently to be used to clean your computer screen...so I tried it.

It didn't even look at all like it needed the slightest dusting. Apparently I was wrong. Ick.

Anyone else tried this? Have you gotten dustiness too?
