My son still loves watching Mister Rogers Neighborhood. So, yesterday after watching this show I hear him running back and forth and gathering things and such from his crafty bin. When I reorganized a bit in my crafty studio, I felt it important for him to have a little bin all his own full of bits of paper, fabric scraps, stickers etc. to do as he pleased with and had the freedom to cut and paste to his little hearts content. SO, when moments of inspiration hit him (as it did after watching Mister Rogers) he has what he needs to make away. I watched him for a moment with his papers and "instructions" he had laid out in front of him. I asked him what he was doing and he said making these! Pointing to this:
A trolley
this is supposed to be a television with people in a show on it
and this is a barn
Then he asked for a box. The only thing I had on hand willing to be cut was a shoe box, so that's what we made a TV out of.
Then he started cutting away at some paper. He said he was making things to go in the TV like a show. Almost like a mini puppet show, I guess.
Then it was dinner time, so we decided we would finish up the cutting and *building* another day.
That was fun.

Facebook???
Hmm, just don't know about this facebook thing. My husband thinks I might like it and apparently I know several people that are already on it, but I just don't know.....would I like it? My hubby thinks I would cause it's a little like blogging, but, uhm....I have a blog that is hard enough to keep up with! I love it, but sometimes, well, it takes more time than I have. And, I am trying to get time arranged to where I have more to devote to blogging. My sister-in-law is on this facebook deal too. But really, could I seriously keep up with something else that is like blogging when I already have a blog?! And would I want to? Anyone else know about this facebook thing? Is it like a MySpace deal, cause (not to offend anyone that may be on that) that type of stuff is somewhat annoying to me. Please, tell me what you know! I admit, I am a little curious.

Happenings
Wow, where did I go off to? Well, I was a little under the weather part of last week. Nothing too major, just enough to set me back a few days on house work and such. Oh, the catching up I have to do! You know those days when you wake up and think, "Oh! what a nice bright and shiny new day!". Then, you realize the terribly long to-do list you have starting to run through your mind. Oy! Then, as much as it's a fabulous and beautiful day, you have work to do! Just blogging this little bit is making me feel a bit guilty. Especially when there is a laundry pile sitting right next to me desperately needing folding and putting away. And the kitchen, oh how it has been neglected. And of course, we were out of town this past weekend (thankfully I was feeling better!) for a family reunion, so you know there was not much gotten to before we left. Yikes. I normally do not leave my house with a few dishes in the sink or laundry waiting to be folded, but there is no denying it, this time I did. Funny, being that I am normally pretty determined to NEVER leave my house without it being nice and pleasant to come back to. I don't know about you, but I cannot stand coming home to laundry piles and such after a trip. How 'bout you?
Okay, I really must go now. I am waiting for a pot of water to start a boil. I really should go check on it now. Then, maybe, just maybe this laundry pile can get folded......
Happy Monday!
PS to those who are my winners for the giveaway, your lovely prizes will be mailing out this week! I will let you know when they ship out. Promise.

Hmmm
The other morning after my son awoke, he came in to see what I was busy sewing away at....and this is what I saw:
Could he really have grown THAT much in one year?! Yes, it's true. He did. These are Christmas jammie pants from '06 that were just that much too long, so I took them up a bit. I had another pair I only had one leg done on that were sitting in the "to be done projects pile" that I had already taken back down not too long ago. Yeah, I am thinking these need to be taken back down too. Wow. Now I need to go check through what else he might be shooting out of!

A good cup of Java!
I saw this and just had to do it. Well, it is about coffee! And ya know how I loooove coffee! I am a total Starbuck's kinda gal, but there is this awesome place in Austin called Bouldin Creek Coffee House. If you are ever in the area, you must check it out.
You Are a Cappuccino |
You're fun, outgoing, and you love to try anything new. However, you tend to have strong opinions on what you like. You are a total girly girly at heart - and prefer your coffee with good conversation. You're the type that seems complex to outsiders, but in reality, you are easy to please |

I have a super high tech way of doing things around here....like printing out the comments, folding them up and putting them in a bowl. Then, my super duper assistant (aka my son) picks one, or in this case two, out for me!
So, without further interruption the winner for the custom onesie or tee is:
